sahasrabudhe & associates inc. works with the Canadian food industry to develop and implement food safety systems which ensure that the food manufactured by our clients is safe and will meet customer expectations.

Our History
Over the past 35 years, we have worked with a diverse group of companies that range from family owned processors to large multinationals. We have helped companies initiate practices from initial Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) programs, all the way to Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) certifications. In 2003, we worked as part of a team that developed and presented recall workshops across Canada. Since then, we have worked with a host of industry associations to develop food safety programs and standards.

Our team is led by Jyoti Sahasrabudhe, who holds a B. Sc. (Honours) in Biochemistry from Queen’s University and a M. Sc. in Food Science from the University of British Columbia. Jyoti has worked in the areas of food safety and HACCP, quality and food safety program management, regulatory compliance and label development including nutritional analyses in a variety of food sectors which include thermal processing operations, bakery, beverages, confectionery, dairy, and fruit and vegetable processing.

She holds a number of auditor certifications which include BRCGS Global Standard for Food Safety, GMA-Safe, ASQ and ISO 9001. In the past 9 years, Jyoti has conducted over 250 BRCGS Food audits. She is a BRCGS Approved training Partner for Food, Storage & Distribution and Agents & Brokers and is a BRCGS Principal trainer.
